What is a Pregnancy Care Center Ambassador?

The Pregnancy Care Center’s Ambassador Program started in 1997. It has grown to involve ambassadors in more than six counties spanning all denominations. Ambassadors are crucial to the PCC because they are the connection between the Center and the local churches. The Center works with the Ambassador in order to accomplish four things:

  1. Ambassadors help the PCC become integrated and anchored within the church. PCC needs your church’s intercessory prayers, counsel, and support as the staff and volunteers face the daily spiritual battles involved in this type of ministry.
    1. Because of our Ambassadors, PCC is on prayer lists and prayer chains.
    2. Because of our relationships with the local churches, we can call pastors for advice and information as needed.
  2. As a strong relationship develops between PCC and your church, PCC can refer clients to your church. We are aware that the greatest need our clients have is for a relationship with Christ. We want to be able to refer them to strong churches that can nurture and support them in that relationship.
  3. Ambassadors help us find ways to assist your church in its stand for the sanctity of human life.
    1. The PCC can provide information and speakers to speak for various events including:
      1. Women’s Meetings
      2. Sanctity of Human Life Sunday
      3. Youth Groups
      4. Sunday School Classes
      5. Sunday morning
    2. We can also provide opportunities for your members to put their belief in the sanctity of human life into practice by supporting the PCC through:
      1. Serving in the center (peer-counselor, receptionist, etc.)
      2. Fund-raisers (Walk, Golf Challenge, Baby Bottle Campaign, Banquets, etc.)
      3. Baby Showers/Donations of baby items
      4. Other Service Opportunities (office work, handy-man, cleaning, mowing/lawn care, etc.)
      5. Baking cookies for special events, making hand-made baby blankets, etc.
      6. Doing small fund-raisers to buy cribs, maternity clothes, etc.
  4. Ambassadors share information about PCC programs with members of their church so they can receive our services.
    1. Transformed and My Best for You are our Abstinence Education Programs for churches that brings youth together with their parents to discuss God’s plan for their sexuality. These programs are offered to churches at no cost with the exception of materials for My Best for You.
    2. It is estimated that one out of five women who get an abortion identifies themselves as born-again Christians or evangelicals. Our Abortion Recovery Bible Study, Forgiven and Set Free, helps both men and women find the forgiveness of Christ and healing. One-on-one counseling is also available.
